Automobile engine belt noise elimination maintenance lubricant
Our automotive engine belt silencer contains disodium EDTA, sodium bicarbonate, and laureth-7. It can provide additional lubrication for the belt, improve the performance of the belt, and form a protective film on the belt surface to protect the belt surface from dirt, moisture, and chemical erosion, while maintaining a certain degree of elasticity. Its use is very simple: shake well before use, and then spray an appropriate amount of this product on the belt. It can reduce the friction between the belt and the roller, thereby reducing noise and wear, and extending the service life of the belt.

I recommend following the directions, but with a slight modification. When you first spray this on the belt (with the engine running), it will cause the belt to have a loud screeching/squeaking noise, which will be way worse than how it was before. I sprayed it on sparingly with the engine running until I felt the belt had a very light coating and the squeaking disappeared. After a day or so the squeaking would resume, and I'd do that process again. This continued for several times, until one day it just stopped squeaking. So I think the key is that it needs to be applied sparingly, but several times, and allowed to soak in. After a sufficient amount has soaked in, it seems to work. It kept me from having to buy a new belt, as my current one is in great shape but just squeaks. It doesn't last forever, though. I seem to recall it lasts about six or eight months, and then you have to spray it down again. It doesn't turn an old belt into a new belt, but it turns an old, dry, squeaky belt into an new, conditioned, quiet belt.

I use this to stop the drive belt on my Polaris Slingshot from squeeking / whining. It works great, but I wish they sold a bigger can as I go through it fairly quickly. Stops the squeeze very well, but I spray a little bit on every few days.

Driving an old 25 year old BMW that was making chirping noises in the belt pulley area under the hood. I tried everything. Took it to two repair shops, had pulleys checked and replaced, new belts, pulley alignment and the noise would just not go away and was driving me insane. Even tried dialectic grease. I would have tried this product earlier but the so called internet car experts said never use this on a belt. Boy are they wrong. I applied about a third of the can on my belts and the chirping squealing noises disappeared. It's been a month now so it does last. I ordered more and keep a can in my car in case it starts chirping again but haven't heard anything yet. Will most likely need to be reapplied at some point.

Had to apply once a day over three days. It did help to reduce the belt noise, I can still hear the noise but it reduced it significantly. I would buy again if the noise comes back. Per my mechanic, it would cost a great deal to go in and replace the fan belt pulley (mechanic said it was still safe to drive).

I'm probably using this stuff for a rather unusual form of 'belts', but it seems to have worked perfectly! I have an older professional music recording machine (circa 2004), which records onto it's internal hard drive. From there, you can make backups of your music, OR play cd's OR import/export .WAV samples via the built-in cd burner/player. Long story short...over 15 years of age, the rubber belt (the size of a small rubber band) that is used to eject the cd tray has dried out a bit and was slipping off of the motor drive that ejects the cd tray, rendering a cd tray that was unable to eject/insert any cd's. I bought this stuff in hopes that it would condition that tiny belt and give it a better 'grip' in the rollers. One or two tiny sprays onto the belt was all it took and now my cd tray is successfully back in business. Maybe my use was for a more nontraditional sense of belts, but it goes to prove that this stuff can probably be used on any belts which are slipping from cars to cd players and everything in between. Highly recommend this stuff!

The golf cart, Yamaha, was making a significant belt squeal when it was first started for the day. The width was not worn. The noise left after a few light sprays

This belt conditioner works pretty good. The only thing you need to apply it a few times in order to you see results. It took about 4 applications for the belt noise go away. About 4 days. The car been running without noise for a few weeks now.

I used this product on my car's serpentine belt, and my belt quieted down. Highly recommend.

Initially I did not like it. It seemed to make my problem worse on my serpentine belt. The belt sqeeking was much louder on my car after application. I had to drive it for a good 20 minutes before the sound went away. I did still notice a little sqeeking on day 2 and I did reapply a 2nd time. After my 2nd applaction all sounds were gone. So the product did work as advertised. Here are the cons the product and the reason for 3 stars. First the product was very sticky. I’d recommend wearing a rubber glove when you use it. Also my can did not come with a straw extender. I had to use the one I had on a can of WD 40. It took me longer to trim the straw to get it to fit then it took to apply the product.
